Dawn to Dusk

Cadenza Choir is the newest choir on the Kapiti Coast. "Dawn to dusk" concert on Saturday 18th July will be the choir's first full performance. It will also be a first in this type of setting, for photographer Brett Hayvice, whose work will be shown as part of the event.

The concept came to Director Bridget O'Shanassy earlier in the year "I had an idea that we could give our audience something really different. I have always wanted to create some drama within a choral framework, and Brett's images, combined with some local poetry, will help portray an unfolding day" The 22 members of Cadenza are very excited to showcase a selection of contemporary pieces at Te Raukura.

Each piece will represent a time of day, such as Dolly Parton's "Light of a clear blue morning" to Eric Whitacre's fabulous storybook setting of "Goodnight moon".
