Coastlands' Theatre

Coastlands’ Theatre is our principal venue for events, seating up to 331. This is a proscenium arch theatre with a fully functional fly tower and counterweight flying system, designed to cater for a wide array of productions. This auditorium is complete with a 10m x 12m sprung floor stage and fly space above.

The front two rows are removable to form an orchestra pit. A full lighting rig, accessible by gantry, and professional sound system will meet the needs of any hirer.

Coastlands’ Theatre is acoustically excellent for a wide variety of productions, hitting the sweet spot of enough resonance for orchestra and choir, while not too much for unamplified voice or reinforced sound. The $1m heating and ventilation system provides near-silent airflow through a plenum under the seats to keep patrons at a comfortable temperature.

The Theatre is available for bookings for live performance, events and conferences.
