Hadestown: Teen Edition

Kapiti College is excited to present Hadestown: Teen Edition, giving local audiences the opportunity to experience this internationally acclaimed musical live on stage.

Hadestown: Teen Edition blends modern folk and jazz-inspired music with ancient Greek mythology. It follows Orpheus and Eurydice, a young couple trying to make things work in a tough world, alongside Hades and Persephone, who rule over a dark, industrial underworld. When Eurydice is pulled into that world, Orpheus risks everything to bring her back, relying on nothing but his music and his belief in her. It’s a story about love, hope, and the choices we make.

The show is a huge team effort, with around 100 students involved. While many take the stage, others are working behind the scenes on lighting, sound, set design, and stage management. This helps to bring the entire production to life and gives students valuable experience both on and off stage.
